  • Title leaf is a cancel. The original title read "A souvenir for the Lincoln Dinner of the Republican Club of the city of New York February 12, 1907", without an explicit publisher statement
  • The three essays in the volume comprise an account of the Lincoln-Douglas Ottawa debate; an account of the parentage and marriage of Lincoln's father and mother; and a membership and fundraising appeal for the work of the Lincoln Farm Association to preserve the Lincoln birthplace in Hodgenville, Kentucky as a national park
  • Includes facsimile of a letter of 11 December 1906 from Theodore Roosevelt to Robert Collier, chair of the Lincoln Farm Association (and owner of the farm), accepting an invitation to make an address at the birthplace on 12 February 1909
  • An accompanying slip, "Extra copies of this book may be had upon written application to Mr. Richard Lloyd Jones, secretary, the Lincoln Farm Association, 764 Broadway", notes that it was issued in "special fawn paper cover" (10 cents, or $1 per dozen) or "bound in fine brown rib silk non-flexible covers, with English crash [linen] back, and special gold cover stamp" (25 cents, or $2 for 10). "The books are all printed on India tinted paper and illustrated with duotones."
