This book comprises the proceedings of the Seventh Working Conference on Engineering for Human-Computer Interaction sponsored by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP), which was held in Heraklion, Greece in September 1998. It contains research articles written by researchers from all over the world, who set out to explore and evaluate new techniques for designing and building user interfaces or groupware systems. It also contains the reports of workshops held during the conference on the most recent research issues raised by user-interface engineering.
