It consists of choruses, semi-choruses, duets, solos recitatives, &c. and is arranged for, and adapted to, the voices of children and youth. the words are chiefly original ; the music mostly slected from some the the first authors ... three or four hundred well-trained voices would perhaps be the most effective in a large house ..." -- p.
